MSPARC/8 system used an additional SPARCstation for monitoring
The MSPARC/8 system used an additional SPARCstation for monitoring the probe data that was collected via the midplane.
MSPARC/8 was built using Sun Microsystems SPARCstation 2 workstations
The MSPARC/8 was built using Sun Microsystems SPARCstation 2 workstations. The motherboards from the systems were removed and inserted into a custom-built chassis and used a custom midplane for probing. Four of the eight motherboards are visible in this photo. The additional four boards are in the back of the chassis.
