The Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center is centrally located in Research Triangle Park, 15 minutes from Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill off Interstate 40. The hotel is five minutes from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The Sheraton provides complimentary 24 hour transportation to and from the airport. Over 1,000 parking spaces are available at no charge.
The Sheraton Imperial is a full service hotel featuring 331 newly renovated guest rooms, new 25” color TVs with remote control, AM/FM clock radios with alarms, coffee makers, hairdryers, full-size ironing boards and irons, voice mail in every room, ESPN/complimentary Showtime, and “On-demand” movies.
The Concierge Level offers continental breakfast, IBM compatible computer, and express check-out. In the evening, the hotel offers complimentary drink coupons & hors d’oeuvres, turn-down service, and upgraded amenities in room.
Other hotel features include a casual dining restaurant, bar, athletic club, lighted tennis courts, lighted 2-1/2 mile jogging trail, outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and gift shop.

Standard – Single/Double: $95.00 + 11% tax
Club Level – Single/Double: $128.00 + 11% tax

Reservations must be received by the hotel by September 25, 1998 to obtain these rates. Be sure to mention the Vis ‘98 conference when making your reservation.
NOTE: Please sign up at the conference hotel. We understand that you are all on a budget, but so are we. We need your hotel room reservations in the Vis ‘98 block at the conference hotel, or else the conference has to pay extra for the conference room rental. Because we have a heavy AV requirement, we have to book a hotel that has large conference rooms and high ceilings. There aren’t many of those who will book a small conference like ours. Please help us out by supporting the conference hotel. We don’t want to have to raise our rates to cover hotel penalties.
